This is a brilliant book of inspiring stories of heroism from the ongoing wars in Iraq and Afghanistan told in first hand account by the people that took part in the actions themselves.
A great book in itself and well deserving of its best selling status, this particular copy is really special as it is signed by the recent winner of the Victoria Cross (the highest award for outstanding valour) Lance Corporal Johnson Beharry V.C.
He is the only living recipient of this most rare of decorations, in the last 40 years and one of only a handful alive in the world today.
I met this exceptional hero recently where I got him to sign several items for me, including this book. The word hero is used a great deal these days for all sorts of things that probably don't deserve the term to be used, but no one can dispute that in the case of Johnson Beharry VC it is well and truly deserved!
The book itself is in unread condition and has 368 pages plus many photos.
A great book signed by a true hero in every sense of the word makes this a real 'little bit of history'.
