Franklin Mint Diecast P-51 Mustang signed by 'Bud' Anderson & Bill Overstreet
This is a highly collectable 1:48 scale metal diecast model of the famous WW2 P-51 Mustang fighter 'Old Crow'. It is from the Franklin Mint 'Armour' series, is in mint condition and comes with all its original box and packaging as well as a Certificate of authenticity.
Already a collectors item in its own right, what makes this so special is that I had the real pleasure of meeting its legendary WW2 ace pilot 'Bud' Anderson PLUS his fellow ace and often wingman William 'Bill' Overstreet when I got them both to sign this for me!!

Here briefly is a bit about them both:
Colonel C. E. 'Bud' Anderson : Pilot of 'Old Crow' Flew with the famous 357th Fighter Group out of England from 1943. Finished the war a triple ace with 16.25 victories including 3 on one one mission over Leipzig. Regarded as one of the most natural and instinctive fighter pilots of WW2.

Captain William 'Bill' Overstreet : An amazing man with some amazing stories! Once famously chased a Me109 across Paris finally shooting it down after flying underneath the Eiffel Tower. Flew alongside Bud Anderson, often as his wingman, he finshed the war an ace with 5 victories.
